Top Flaps

There are three types of mud flaps designed for trucks and heavy vehicles for maximum protection against dirt and debris - and these are traditional mud flaps, bottom flaps, and top flaps. While each will act as an additional barrier between potentially damaging materials and the wheel wells and bodywork of your truck, they can also act as protection for the vehicles around you on the road.

Top flaps, fender mud flaps, and upper bumper mud flaps have been designed to go on the front of heavy vehicles, under the bumper, to protect the front from mud, water, gravel, and even additional materials like tar. These are typically tailored to fit the contours of the front of a host of trucks for maximum functionality.

What materials are used for mud flaps and top flaps

All mud flaps are made using high-quality, durable materials like heavy-duty rubber or stainless steel to provide protection while looking stylish. These can help drivers and truck owners minimise the need for regular replacements or to rectify issues that can come with damage (typically relating to dings, scratches, and dents that may be caused by flying debris).

If the wheel well or fender well suffers from damage, you may find rust spots forming on your truck, as mud, water, or even oil may be able to get into the cracks. While this can be unsightly at the very minimum, you could end up paying out for repairs if left untreated.
